CanSkate and Pre-CanSkate

We welcome all new and returning families to our CanSkate and Pre-CanSkate programs for the 2017-2018 skating season!

We believe that a child who learns to skate not only gains the confidence that comes with new skills, but will be able to enjoy the sport for a lifetime.  These programs are taught by nationally certified coaches trained specifically in teaching the mechanics and proper technique of skating, and offer a complete series of balance, control and agility skills that will help prepare skaters for any ice skating sport or recreational skating.  Some of the Club’s more experienced skaters become trained Program Assistants and provide on-ice support to coaches and skaters during their sessions.

But wait!  CanSkate isn’t just for kids.  The CSC offers skating instruction for adults too!  Adult skating is growing in popularity in Canada and it’s never too late to see how much fun it can be to skate as an adult.  Check at the CanSkate table during regular program hours or email the club to express your interest – skaters@chathamskatingclub.com.  We’ll connect with you personally to make arrangements.

What better way to add a fun activity to a healthy and active lifestyle!
